Koush has released an updated version of his backup app called Carbon which probably gets its name from the term “carbon copy”. It is an Android backup application based on the Cloud storage technology which lets you sync and back up your app data to your Dropbox and Google Drive account so that you might restore them later to your Android device when you need them. The better part of the affair is that Carbon can also backup the apps to your device’s SD card. Moreover, it can restore the backed up apps to all devices that are linked with the same cloud storage servers.

With the most recent beta release of this useful app, Koush has now allowed the non-rooted users to get into the game who can avail the features of the Carbon app with the help of a desktop application that is easily installed on your computer. Thus, with this app installed on the phone/tablet, every Android user (rooted and non-rooted) can backup apps and app data easily and safely. On his Google+ page, Koush also informs that the new beta will expire on January 30 and then he will release it at the Google Play. The Carbon app shall be available in totally free and paid versions.
